NEL CSU provides expert support and advice to help clinical commissioners and other NHS organisations to deliver improved health services to local populations.

We provide services to over 160 customers, including clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) across England, in London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedford, Luton, Northamptonshire, East Anglia, Kent, Surrey and Sussex, representing more than 10 million people.

Our extensive range of services includes contracting, business intelligence, strategic service review and service reconfiguration planning, organisational development, finance, HR, and communications.

We also deliver a range of support services and bespoke solutions to healthcare organisations across England, including hospital trusts, hundreds of GP practices, mental health trusts, NHS England nationally and regionally and to local authorities.

By providing more of a regional focus than before, with the scale and expertise to provide high-quality coordinated and flexible support to our customers, we can better enable them to deliver meaningful improvements to their health systems.

Staff, patients, the public and customers are best served by an efficient CSU that can spread its costs across a wider number of customers whilst maintaining local focus. As a bigger organisation, we can create a stronger, more agile and cost-effective CSU for the future.
