NEL CSU, in partnership with the Waltham Forest Clinical Commissioning Group and design agency The House, has been shortlisted for best website award in the AHCM (Association for Healthcare Communications and Marketing) Awards 2015 for the redevelopment of the Waltham Forest CCG website.
NEL CSU’s web team was commissioned to manage the development of the new website to help the CCG better communicate what it is and what it does and to encourage local residents to get involved in shaping healthcare services.
As well as a fresh modern look, the new website has been designed with users in mind. During a review of website users, it was revealed that more than half of users accessed the site on a smartphone or tablet, so the new website has been configured to reflect that. A Google Translate widget was also added meaning the the website can now be viewed in the 10 most popular languages spoken by Waltham Forest residents including Bengali, Lithuanian, Polish, Punjabi and Urdu.
Waltham Forest CCG’s new website went live in August 2015 and has been well received by residents, stakeholder groups and healthcare professionals alike.
The AHCM Awards are the only awards that exclusively recognise and reward excellence in NHS communications, marketing and engagement. The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Birmingham on 12 November.
